My face to the world is my facebook page or my facebook profile. I created this page a year and a half back so that I can give my personal, academic and contact information to my friends and relatives. The main purpose of creating this page was to find friends similar to me or who shared the same interests as me in a different country and know more about the culture of that country. My facebook page is my identity which is visible to my friends, colleagues, family and my potential employers. My facebook page gives information about me to the outside world. It tells about my university, courses, friends, activities and other aspects of my life.
I have tried my best to represent myself in facebook i.e. to show what kind of person I am. My profile picture shows me playing soccer which tells everyone that I am a soccer player. My page shows that I am a student of Purdue University with electrical engineering as my major and also shows what courses I am taking in the present semester. My facebook page also tells about my interests and my future plans i.e. it tells about my reading habits and what kind of movies I like. My activities are listed there which shows what kind of person I am and what my interests are. My facebook page also tell others about my personal information like my relationship status, my birthdate and my hometown. My facebook page lets me share information, communicate and collaborate easily with my friends, family and colleagues. I have made my facebook page presentable so that it not only impress my potential employers, but also express myself to the outer world.
I have made my facebook page accessible to my potential employers and and my friends so that they can know me better through facebook and this page is like my identity, it is my face to the world.
